Since 1949, New Contemporaries has annually presented a survey exhibition featuring emerging and early career artists from UK art schools and alternative peer-to-peer learning programmes. This year’s exhibition, curated by internationally renowned artists Helen Cammock, Sunil Gupta, and Heather Phillipson, comprises 55 artists.


This marks New Contemporaries' inaugural visit to Blackpool, showcasing a diverse range of voices and artistic approaches, including painting, sculpture, moving image, drawing, performance, and sound. The works are thematically arranged, offering insights into the concerns and interests of this emerging generation of artists.
